FSA Val Playdate!

Image
I have more pics of other kids at the playdate but, Someone got upset at me for posting a pic of their kid so, I will only use these 2 pics. And the ones of Brielle were all fuzzy. She must have been bouncing off the Walls from all that sugar! They made cards with TONS of stickers and decorated sugar cookies that Kylee made. I'm sure they were tasty even though i didn't get to try one. I brought my own egg-free chocolate chip cookie so, i could have a treat too! Honestly, I'm tired of the whole allergy foods thing but- It's helping me HEEPS and OODLES! Now that March is Here ( i had to abstain for 3 months of no yeast or eggs-my allergies) I can have 1 single serving of something with yeast and one serving of something with egg in it a week. It's like a 75% allergy so- it won't kill me but, I get digestive issues and it's hard for my body to breakdown. Crazy but, It's part of my Life! And TONS of things are egg and yeast free- you just have to loo...

Check out this great service project....

National Social Worker’s Month(March)-- gratitude baskets In 1984, Ronald Reagan officially established the National Professional Social Worker’s Month. March provides a time for each of us to remember the important community roles filled by our social workers. While the profession is known in title, the job responsibilities and potential impact of a social worker in a community may not be completely understood by all. Social Workers champion access, equality and fairness. Social Workers improve the fabric of society by being advocates for people who need help addressing serious life challenges and exploring their options. The Social Work profession was established more than 100 years ago to provide as many people as possible with the tools and support they need to overcome many types of adversity and reach their full potential. Every day, Social Workers witness the best and worst of human nature. A Social Worker’s success is often defined by the opportunities pe...

Our Colorado FSA Party was quite fun. The girls loved making graham cracker gingerbread houses and hand print ornaments. We made enough for Birth mom and birth grandparents too! I am still wondering if B's birth father ever wants any of these keepsakes or his parents. I'm not really sure on that. And i will respect whatever they want in that regard. daddy was a great help while i shot pictures for everyone. cutest little hands. Those ornaments were a hit. Next year, I'm going with more of an acrylic ornament so, i can ship them easier and they won't break. Here is some of Brielle's Art! She LOVES drawing and coloring and is getting quite good at it! I plan on enrolling her in an art class this summer. We plan on traveling more in the spring and sticking around here much of the summer so, they can do Ballet, Swim and Art. But plans change so, we will see.

National FSA Conference

Let me just start off by Saying How much i LOVE all the birth moms, fathers and grandparents i met at the conference. I am so inspired by your strength and courage and ability to overcome what non-adoptive people throw at you, verbally and emotionally. I met, Jill, Taryn, Celeste, Julie, Heather, Tamra and a whole bunch more awesome ladies! I adore you all and I can't wait till our awesome future birth parents find us:) I learned a TON at the conference about so many things and i could just write a book but, i will avoid it for time's sake. The highlights were too many to number. I can't wait until next year and will be BUSY at work with FSA. WHY? Because we love adoption and everyone involved in it and I was asked to Be the CENTRAL REGIONAL FSA C0-Chair with my sweet husband!!! That means that we will follow the direction of the National Board FSA leaders in guiding and helping the FSA Chapter Chairs in these states: Wyoming, Montana, Illinois, Ohio, Colorado, Missouri an...
