back in the saddle again...

Yep, I'm once again clearing out ALL my supplies and goods from my Boutique business and the last bits of stuff are on my ETSY store . So, if you missed it- you get this last time to check it out. I don't have many things posted at the moment but, You will see the rest of what i have left appear sooner than later. And Honestly, I can't wait till it's all gone. I really did have a ton of supplies that i needed to USE up and re-coup some of what i had invested into it. It was a great 5 years and i had fun but, now it's on to better and more important things! I'm sure i will make all these goodies for our future children and for gifts for others- I'm just done with the business side of it all! Thanks to all who supported me while i was in it though! And snag stuff while I still have it!

Worries, Myths and ?'s

SO... many hopeful adoptive couples and families have a few worries and myths that I want to share in this post...( random pics of our zoo trip too ) For some reason these have been on my mind a bit as I've been spreading the good word of adoption and talking with couples and high school aged teens and friends... Why haven't we been chosen after 18 months, 2 years etc??? ( not us, just a ? from a few couples) Couples who wait are not hopeless. I feel that our wait time is part of the process of learning an d growing and preparing. Couples with long waits often get the blues but, usually that can be remedied by GETTING BABY OFF THE BRAIN and getting involved in other causes instead of just doing nothing. A good cause is adoption and FSA is a great wait to advocate and outreach, often through this contacts are made and placement is more likely to happen ( and time flies faster). One of my best friends in Henderson, NV waited for 3 years and after getting involved in FSA, she w...

The Girls had their first day of Preschool last week and are NOW busy with School 2-3 days a week. Brielle goes to a Montessori Preschool with her friend Elizabeth! They had a pretty good first day and week. Today Brielle liked playing the House GAME (as she calls it) We love her smile and laugh. She is such a blessing and so full of life and excitement and sometimes little girl drama!!! Here's one of her teachers leading an opening circle time thing. This is B's 2nd year of preschool b/c she is a Jan. B-day. We are thinking of a half year of preschool and then doing an evaluation for Kindergarten in Jan. She's a smarty pants and gets bored if she isn't challenged. We are also looking into a School of Gifted Children. We shall see:) Aria was very shocked at first. To be in a very new place (my friend's home)! She goes tues/thurs. and always comes out smiling when it's time to pick her up! She loves kisses as both our girls do! Her very first backpack. I got cra...

If you are not, please note that this letter is not intended for your eyes but, you are free to read it nonetheless! things that freak me out...

For all honesty's sake, I'm going to be REAL and tell you some things that make me shutter in fear or disgust... (may not be suitable for children to view) FIRST: Pageant Moms and Daughters: Note to you people: Your child IS not a trophy piece- please love them without all the make-up and hairspray. They are precious the way GOD made them. No extras needed- ps. when your child stops doing pageants are you going to love her less or be less involved? Poor girls:( second: Facial Tattooing- UGH frightens me BALUT: half grown duck inside the egg, fermented in the ground for days then eaten as a treat or on rice in the Philippines- gag me! (ps. Brandon tried this on his mission) Extreme Dog Groomers and their stylists- It's cool but, still wigs me out a tad! any hairless breed of cats or dogs- can't do it, peeps more: being trapped in a car and sinking slowly, MLM lovers, bees, too many ice cubes in my drink ( i know a little odd quirk- 3 is just fine) public restrooms, ca...

Just so you know... We are not your typical adoptive couple with a long drawn out sob story of how we are so destitute to have a child and how much we need you to choose us. We are not Baby Hoarders who just want to grab up all the adoptable kids of the world like all the Hollywood stars out there either. We are not here to convince anyone that we are perfect in every way and put on a front for you. We are ,however, depending upon an amaz in g person to recognize what her heart is telling her. If we are the Right fit for your baby, then so be it. We are putting our Trust In God and having Faith that each one of our miracles will come into our family the way He intended them to. Thats just what we know, deep in our hearts and we will treasure each child as our own. Whatever baby comes into our home will be surrounded with love and kisses and MANY cousins and 2nd cousins and grandmas and grandpas! In my side of the family there are 6 adopted GRANKIDS( Brielle being 1 of them)...

So, as we have stated We are not your typical adoption parents. We are REALLY quite OPEN and we never hide our feelings! So get ready to laugh or sob or whatever while you read these things about us our childhoods and everything in between... Brandon: Like i mentioned before, Brandon was adopted by his parents when he was 3 days old. He has always been proud of the women who gave him to his family. His birth mother is a hero and because of her He was able to have a great, loving, happy, full life so far... When He was a boy, He always, Always wanted to BE the BEST and the smartest and so forth. He had the best highest grades( graduated with 4.4), he is a math whiz and he had so much energy that he would sometimes be a little too adventurous. When he was about 3 yrs. he jumped off a stage face first onto a wooden floor while declaring to his Mom : Look mom, i'm supa man" Then when he got up he said "did you see me fly for a second?" He got a nasty bruise on his fore...

4 years ago, an amazing Birthmother had our sweet daughter, Brielle. We got a call, shortly after she was born and were invited to come to the hospital to see this new baby girl. I just couldn't believe they even wanted us there. I felt like an intruder and an honored guest all at once. 5 days after her birth, she came home with us! Her placement was heavenly and many tears of joy and pain were shed on both sides of the room. It was a sacred occasion for us all! And this tiny baby changed our lives FOREVER! We can't Thank her Birthmother enough. We are eternally in her debt and not a day goes by that we don't think of her enormous courage and love. And Yesterday, She turned 4! Man, those years have flown by! Now... we wait for this amazing Miracle to happen again!
