thoughts for parents without kids yet...

Recently, there has been a mixed bag of emotions being thrown around FB and blogs and such ( what's new, right?) about Couples who have bio children and choose to pursue or even look into adoption. I fully understand that we all grieve in different ways and in different times in our process. I'm not asking anyone to speed through their emotions or telling you that what your thinking/ feeling is wrong. I just want you to take a moment to stop before you criticize, or throw out harmful words b/c you are so full of emotion and the desire to have a child. People have that same desire to serve and love and raise a child, regardless if they have children or not. Who are you to say things that make no sense at all like... " if you adopt a child and you already have kids, then that's one less baby for a couple without kids to have!" " why can't you just be grateful for what you have been given?" " Why don't you adopt an older kid from foster care- ...

It wasn't quite green enough to shoot the outdoor pics yet so, i will get them sooner than later but, here's a recap of Easter in our home! The Girls had a blast hunting for eggs INSIDE the house this year ( it got yucky outside) and they loved the toys and big treats( not pictured b/c they are strewn all throughout the house)they got this year! I regret the sticker books as they ended up all over the lamps and wood floors and we are still peeling them off! The girls were all about the CANDY anyway! And OF course, since they attend Christian School and we go to church- they Knew Easter is about Jesus and HIS Resurrection! I enjoyed Our Church that day and the girls were quite pleasant in Sacrament Meeting too. Aria was very cuddly and amused with the few eggs we let her bring with her. I enjoyed making there HUGE BOWS and hunting for their dresses and sweaters this year too. It seems finding a Good dress these days can be rather hard. Most are of poor quality or have funny co...

1 WEEK

...Was all we got! Yesterday, We took a sweet little angel ( we will call her Baby H ) back to the agency, after 1 week of caring for her. Without going into detail about her BP's lives we will just say- they had issues and struggles. So, a week ago, we picked up this cutie pie and she was dirty and wreeked of smoke! She had a rough 1st day but, totally calmed down and became this chill, smiley baby! Every morning my girls would wake up and rush over to baby H and want to feed, burp, change or snuggle her! They took turns singing or playing peek-a-boo with her. Brandon and I loved this tiny girl who was rockin' our world! We lost some sleep but, who cared. We met with her BP's last Sunday and it was pretty traumatic for Baby H- she screamed bloody murder every time the BP's held her until she was so exhausted she finally fell asleep. It was tough and Baby H had reactions the rest of that day. The following 2 days after that were wonderful! Then last Tuesday, our CW ca...

Once this girl was tiny and small.... growing inside this angel's belly... and 5 years ago, she was born to a lovely young woman, her first mother, Kara... who only weeks before she was due, found US and chose us to be her parents... We met on Jan. 2nd and that day changed our lives forever. Then met again on the 9th and on the 12th of January, This precious Girl came into the lives of Many and has been since LOVED BY MANY b/c of Open Adoption! Please look at our old family Blog for all the details on her adoption and her life thus far! click on Brielle or adoption day:) And now, We Wait for Another Miracle through Adoption! She is the best Big sister and any child that comes into our family will have an older sister to relate to. Not to mention an Amazing Father( Brandon) who is also adopted. I'm so blessed and i hope we can all bless the next life that finds it's way into our family! Adoption is a Miracle and everyday I'm grateful for it! Especially today!
