WHAT A DAY!

Image
Our Court Day was Epic! Of course a few things had to be changed up... like our judge, our courtroom and a few people getting lost in the changes but, overall. It went well! The kids got to answer ?'s and it was unlike any other court date we have had. I hope and pray our kids will remember this and retell Celise about the Day she became an Official Christian Family Member! Here's a CUTE shoot i did of all her sweet little rolls, creases and bit parts too. It's so important to enjoy every day as kids grow so quickly and life on Earth is short. As a mom, i feel like I'm becoming the Mom on The Goldbergs ( if you haven't seen this show- it's hilarious and about the 80's90's) . I want to KISS and snuggle my schmoopies until they can't take it any more. I know why my mom always wanted a hug , a kiss a time with just me- because time is fleeting! In a blink- they are off to college and starting families of their own ( well not...

I know it has taken me forever to post on Hawaii but, Here it goes... WE HAD A BLAST and are ready to buy a second home there in the coming years but, first we have to visit Maui since we have not been there yet. This trip was to the BIG ISLAND- the island of Hawaii!  Our view from our balcony/patio room  HAPUNA BEACH  Black Sand Beach with a large amount of seat Turtles too! Our Valentine's Dates :)  It was so fun taking n our girls and more pics and hopefully some videos to come! It was here that we were contacted by our agency about a potential adoption situation ~ An expectant mom had looked at our book and was interested in having a convo /skype call with us. We weren't even in Hawaii for 24 hours when we read the email.  NOW, we are matched and 1-2 weeks or less away from welcoming a tiny sweet Wahine into our Ohana! God is Good!

Not My Will but Thine be Done!

Image
Yep, I've said time after time that I chose to be on God's rollercoaster on how our family is to come to us! I've consigned my will over to Him who knows greater than me, than anyone of what we need when we need it! So, I'm happily (and yet with reservation) announcing that I'm Pregnant!!! Yep about 12 weeks( this friday) and feeling sick and nauseaous! It's horribly good! I cannot tell you how shocked i was considering 5 of my past 6 pregnancies have ended in miscarriage around 4-6 weeks and one at 13.5 weeks! I've been married 10 years this July and i guess the Lord wants this pregnancy to succeed but, I'm still nervous. I think once the baby is here- i will be done being nervous! In some ways having infertility issues and then getting pregnant is like adoption- you just don't believe its happening until it finally does happen! You trick your mind into thinking all kinds of things on why it wont happen then are pleasantly surprised when it does...

CRaziNesS!!!

Yep, that's what unpacking is. I'm totally surround by boxes in a much larger house with an incredibly busy husband who cant seem to find anytime to help. So, I'm conquering it all little by little. Today is the girls room tomorrow its half the boxes in the living room downstairs...and so on! My hopes are to plant a few seeds here and get the garden ready and to enjoy this change of pace in life. After our annual conference last weekend, i really felt many of the speakers reaching out to all of us and giving us needed direction and focus to work on being better parents and responsible citizens in our communities.... President Monson urged members to avoid the distractions of life and remember the things that are of greatest importance: family, service, and living the gospel. Dallin H. Oaks said: “Perhaps the most familiar and most important examples of unselfish service and sacrifice are performed in our families,” said Elder Oaks. Many also demonstrate unselfishnes...

Our Adoption Story Part 3

That night ( april 9th) I got home and to my surprise- we had an email from her! I had asked her what had made her want to contact us, in particular. Her response was something like .... there's not ONE thing that drew me to you guys it was a bunch of things and i kept thinking about these 2 blond girls with big red flowers in their hair and i would always go look at your blog and profile. I figured I'd better do something about it if I kept returning to the same family.. . I was SO relieved to know that 1. she was NOT a mis-directed email & 2. she was a living person and is really quite awesome! I could go on and on about our many emails that led to texting and then one day about 2 weeks later, WE made the first CALL to chat! During all that time, Brandon would hound me with excitement about checking our email and he'd read through the texts and sometimes even text her. Come to find out- they have a very similar sense of humor, like brother and sister!!! So, when J...
