spook-tacular!

our front porch bench   We are having fun getting ready for Halloween! This is Brielle's Favorite Holiday ( at least until Christmas) She does have a sweet tooth and is interested in Tim Burton films! Any who, Our family has been getting into the mood by decorating a bit, wearing fun clothes like pumpkin/ jack-o-lantern shirts, witch wear and more! We have put up some décor but, still need to hang our ghosts, orange lights and set the stage with even more cobwebs! Frightening, I know! Slade is always GOOD for a DIRT bath and his BOO is scary in the cutest way possible! ( more costume cuteness to come!)           Mr. Bones is very friendly and loves to wave at the neighbors as they go to collect their mail! We make every Holiday as fun as possible and this year we are hosting a party with our friends too! This weekend we head to the pumpkin patch for even more fun, corn mazes, hayride...

SUPER FUN! Aria's B-day Party/ UFA friends SPLASH PARTY

Image
WE had a blast- soaking each other, trying out the 90 ft slide, having BBQ and snow cones, playing water games and just being together!      Aria got horse riding lessons and a bike for her birthday- she was so excited! Her friends had fun and our UFA peeps joined in too!         I don't often combine my family/ friends events but, this one was just great and HEY, my friends through adoption are always invited! Once I meet you and we hit it off- we are friends forever! It's crazy how our adoption community is so tight knit and so supportive too!   After a few tries the guys figured out that the more water and soap we had as we went down the hill, the FASTER we went! Great Job Men! So glad we got to have our new friends and old friends here that day! I look forward to more events ahead! God Bless!

home is such a special place

We just finished a Very long and FUN vacation and I'm exhausted and so happy to be HOME! And with my family! Family is everything and on this vacation we got to see just about everyone who is related, related by adoption or married into our families! More detail about this trip to come! Oh and about Aria's Birthday too! she was able to take her very first riding lesson on her birthday day!:)   Open adoption is incredible and we were able to visit with almost everyone in our adoptive families! I will post about it soon! til then!

Our family and Insight...

Mother's Day was Wonderful - lots of flowers , homemade truffles , breakfast in bed , the kids singing at church, steaks for dinner , angel food with whipped cream and strawberries for dessert and great company too!  I couldn't have asked for a better day (minus a touch of whining that is in every day)...   I just didn't think I would LOSE it today and cry during class! We discussed Christ's parables about the lost sheep, the woman's lost coin and the prodigal son. The one that hit me the most was the woman who had 10 coins and lost one...   "Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents" ( Luke 15:8-1...

Christmas Post-1

The night before Christmas ... No, not going to tell that story- that's been done already. Here's OUR story! Brielle feel asleep in Daddy's Arms watching a Christmas movie. We had to wake her and Aria up to open a gift before they went to bed for real! This is our main tree in the family room. It's 12 ft. and my FAV. What a beast this will be to take down though. So worth it! And this year, i added aqua to the mix! We had pancakes with fruit compote and whipped cream( Brielle says " whup'd cream), sausage gravy and biscuits and fresh pineapple . She wanted a smiley face very badly. I tried, right!?! The girls got into their stockings to see what Santa had brought them... and boy did he deliver! We also have tons of presents under this tree from Brielle's Birth family and our parents and US , of course:) G-ma Leslie got the men this historic game. I grew up most of my life in Fallon. It's only about 30,000 people strong , maybe less. So, to ...
